Transformation heading

You’re great at what you do. But while you’re carrying the emotional labour of every conversation and second-guessing every move you make with coworkers, less-skilled people are getting the opportunities you want.

You’re left out of opportunities you could easily lead. Less experienced people get opportunities first. You have great ideas but freeze when it’s time to share them.

You’ve seen it happen

Without them, you

Carry the emotional weight of every interaction. Feel drained by meetings and small talk. Wing your way through moments that matter. Hold back while others get opportunities.

That’s where Human Skill School comes in. Over 7 weeks, you’ll learn to:

Show up with presence that gets you noticed

Read the room and adapt without overthinking

Share your ideas with clarity (and stop second-guessing yourself)

Have difficult conversations without the emotional hangover

Build relationships that feel natural, not forced

Think independently and solve problems without defaulting to AI

Stay steady through change and bounce back from setbacks

Go from: Exhausted by people at work. Second-guessing yourself. Overlooked for what you deserve.

To being: Energised. Clear on what to say and how to say it. Recognised and picked for what’s next.

Doors open Monday 1 December. Limited to 50 students.

It’s not your expertise that’s holding you back

It’s the human skills no one ever taught you, the frameworks for working with people without the guesswork and exhaustion.

Human Skills training is transforming people and careers

Now Human Skill School brings together the research, frameworks, and practical tools that helped them stop feeling exhausted by people and start getting recognised for their work.

Here’s how our workplace training and events have transformed people and their careers.

“Is Human Skill School right for me?”

You’re technically brilliant, but people at work drain you completely. You’ve tried the generic advice to “just be confident” but it hasn’t stuck. You need actual frameworks, not motivational quotes.

You’re tired of watching less experienced people get opportunities while you second-guess yourself. And you want to build your human skills with strategy, not by piecing together random advice and hoping for the best.

If that’s you, you’re in the right place.

The Human Skills Curriculum

  • Build the internal confidence to show up in any room, and the external presence that makes others confident in you too.

    Learning objectives:

    ·      Identify what you want to be confident in and why

    ·      Build confidence through daily practise (not positive thinking)

    ·      Show up with presence that builds trust and respect

    ·      Communicate your strengths without awkwardness

  • Equip yourself with the tools needed to manage and regulate your emotions at work, understand the emotions and motivations of others, and stop carrying the weight of every workplace relationship.

    Learning objectives:

    ·      Recognise your emotional patterns before they drain you

    ·      Regulate your responses in challenging moments

    ·      Maintain momentum and energy when work feels hard

    ·      Read others’ emotions and respond appropriately

    ·      Navigate social dynamics with less effort

  • Share ideas clearly, adapt your message to different people, and handle others’ difficult behaviour so you can save your energy for the work that matters.

    Learning objectives:

    ·      Identify communication styles and adapt without overthinking

    ·      Listen effectively to reduce miscommunication

    ·      Share ideas clearly without over-explaining

    ·      Handle interruptions and dismissive behaviour directly

    ·      Work through difficult conversations while staying emotionally intact

  • Become an easy person to work with by adapting to different working styles, having open discussions, and working through problems together in ways that strengthen rather than strain your working relationships.

    Learning objectives:

    ·      Adapt to different working styles and be easy to work with

    ·      Facilitate discussions that bring out everyone’s best ideas

    ·      Work through difficult collaborative moments as a team

    ·      Give and receive feedback that strengthens relationships

  • Discover the A to Z of building relationships, from making a strong first impression, to supporting and celebrating others, to repairing relationships during tough times.

    Learning objectives:

    ·      Understand how relationships drive career progression

    ·      Create genuine connections through conversation

    ·      Support and celebrate others consistently

    ·      Handle challenging relationships professionally

  • Brainstorming can be just as draining as people. Learn to think for yourself by connecting ideas, evaluate ideas critically, and solve problems creatively without defaulting to AI first.

    Learning objectives:

    ·      Break AI dependence and rebuild your independent thinking

    ·      Generate original ideas through pattern recognition and curiosity

    ·      Develop and refine ideas through experimentation

    ·      Apply creative problem-solving to workplace challenges

  • Develop three core capabilities to become adaptable: lifelong learning to make learning constant, resilience to stay steady through disruption, and flexibility to adjust to different people and situations.

    Learning objectives:

    ·      Learn continuously as your role and industry evolve

    ·      Build resilience to stay steady through setbacks and change

    ·      Adjust flexibly to different people and situations

Each skill builds on the last, giving you a complete system for working with people – without the exhaustion, guesswork, or being overlooked.

Meet your teacher, Hayley Dawson

Hayley Dawson went from entry-level employee to senior leader by mastering human skills. She wasn’t the best English teacher, most talented Spanish translator, sharpest subtitler, or most experienced researcher – but she could communicate, collaborate, build relationships, and adapt. Really well.

She’s trained over 5,000 employees and students at ASOS, The King’s Trust, and Manchester Metropolitan University, and reached thousands more through her educational online content.

Now she’s created Human Skill School, the 7-week programme that teaches the research, frameworks, and practical tools that take the guesswork out of working with people, so you can finally get seen, valued, and chosen for the opportunities you want.
